Our chefs will be delighted to share their many recipes and techniques for preparing a variety of meals that will impress even the most experienced foodies. When you add these well-tested recipes to your collection, you will be bringing home a slice of culinary history!

You will prepare a healthy, authentic meal, using the freshest local and organic ingredients, which vary by season.

Numbers are limited to eight participants, so that your experience is as hands-on as possible and everyone gets a chance to try their hand at the techniques, from making fresh sourdough bread to a spectacular presentation of a seafood platter (and lots more in between) Larger groups can be accommodated with a little notice.

To organize a class we require a minimum of two people, unless in that date requested there is already a class planned that you can join.

The course will be held in English and every lesson will last about 3 hours and traditional family-style meal with local beers will follow each class.

Bay Cottage at The Lodge’s chefs pay particular attention to the special dietary needs of our guests with vegetarian, vegan, macrobiotic or antiallergenic menus.

Non-cooking guests are welcome to accompany cooks (there are some lovely walks to take while the meal is being prepared or they can just relax in the hot tub) and then join in the family-style meal after the class.

By request, the class can be held in your rented villa or apartment in the Loch Fyne and surrounding area
