Location, Location, Location

St Catherines is a small sleepy village halfway between Cairndow and Strachur and situated directly across from the whitewashed stone fronted village of Inveraray. Ideally placed for day trips to Stunning Loch Awe, Chruachan and Oban. Loch Lomond, Crainlarich and Stirling or Benmore Gardens, Kyles of Bute and Dunoon.

Strachur

The name ‘Strachur’ comes from Strath Chura Gaelic for Glen of the Heron and has to be one of the most picturesque villages in Scotland. Well-appointed with a petrol station a post office and a fantastic bistro that serves the best breakfast and Bistro food in the west of Scotland along with fresh locally sourced seafood, game and produce.The Creggans Inn, Inver Cottage and The Clachan bar are also a must for a visit.

Cairndow

Just a little further afield in Cairndow, why not visit Ardkinglass Woodland Gardens and The Stagecoach Inn.

Inveraray

Just over the water in you can visit the renowned Inveraray Jail, Argyll and Argyll Adventurewhere you can choose from clay pigeon shooting, bungee trampolines, laser blast arena, horse riding and climbing walls. The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, The George Hotel, Samphire are just a sample of places to eat.
